The Alya Lounger, designed by Steve Leung, is a sophisticated blend of style, comfort, and craftsmanship. Upholstered in either luxurious leather or fabric, the armchair's internal structure is built with a combination of multiply and solid wood, offering durability and stability. The padding consists of differentiated densities of polyurethane and acrylic fiber, ensuring exceptional comfort. The rear back is upholstered in a quilted lozenge pattern, adding texture and depth, while the internal back and seat are finished with smooth leather or fabric, accented with piped edges for an extra touch of elegance.
The armchair's frame, meticulously carved and smoothed by hand, is made from solid ash wood. It is available in a glossy finish or can be painted in a glossy RAL/NCS color of your choice. The beautifully crafted frame forms the legs and arms of the chair, combining functionality with artistry. The feet are supported by steel bases, providing both strength and a modern finish.
Recognized for its exceptional design, the Alya Lounger was named an Honoree in the Product Design – Residential Seating Category at the 2022 Best of Year Awards by Interior Design magazine.

- Please make sure you are video recording the unpacking of materials received.
- Please check on all external surfaces across the product for any breakages, cracks, chip-offs, unfinished patches, or borer/insect infestations.
- For all products that involve assembly, please ensure that the assembly of the product is done only by ekhaya appointed installation team, to ensure valid warranty of the product.
- Wood has natural qualities such as differing grain patterns, minimal stain differences, and small knots. Knots that alter the structural stability of the product would be rejected at the quality control stage; differing grain patterns and stain differences are generally acceptable on the hardwood products.
